'Glee' Beating 'Arrested Development' to Theaters

glee-people.jpg

Unbeknownst to those of us non-Gleeks (or at least to me), the cast of Glee is currently on tour performing their hits--and, more often, the hits of other, better performers--to sold-out crowds of people who really like real Broadway-style karaoke sung by fake teenagers. But if did already know that, because that is a thing you enjoy, and you weren't able to make it to the party, I've got some good news: it's coming to theaters! Fox suddenly realized they could make a little more money off their ensemble song covers and, for two weeks in August, they're releasing the concert to theaters in 3D. The name of this little thing? Glee Live! 3D!. Because it's either as self-aware as Shark Night 3-D had hoped to be or just as gratingly loud as every other aspect of that show is.
