First Look at 'Rise of the Apes': James Franco Doing Science

So, here's the first look at James Franco in the latest entry to the uneven Planet of the Apes franchise, Rise of the Apes. He's looking pretty confident here pretending to do science, that's for certain, but the question I have is: Is his conspicuously-fit scientist more or less convincing than Will Smith in I Am Legend? Let's take a look.

If we were judging this entirely on their "I'm very concerned about this computer's finding on vampires/apes" stares, no question, I'd give it to Smith. But if we're taking props into account, Smith's clichéd lab coat really can't compete with Franco's Largest Bluetooth Headset Ever Made. What do you think?
