Sam Mendes Still Doing a Bond Movie

Now that MGM has finally rolled enough of their bowls of loose change to slowly climb out of bankruptcy, time for the studio system's most notable paupers to get to work on all the huge franchises they've been sitting on. Their whites-only production of The Hobbit is already well underway, so next up: James Bond. We know James Arnold is already working on the music for the series' 23rd film, but is Sam Mendes still attached like he was nearly a year ago? Probably! His wife Kate Winslet told the Daily Mail:

‘Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens. It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me,’

Sounds like MGM's finally getting its shit together, yeah? It will probably be months before more sequels The Pink Panther, Agent Cody Banks, and Stargate again leave them desperate and penniless.
