I hope no one here was planning to stop Stepping Up, because an announcement from Summit Entertainment has revealed that may no longer be a possibility. According to ComingSoon, the studio has placed an ad in Variety both "celebrating the worldwide success of the third film" (hooray for Step Up 3-D!) and announcing "[Summit] looks forward to doing it again in 2012 with 'Step Up 4Ever' in 3D," which is shocking really only in that it apparently takes over a year to make a Step Up film. I guess it takes a while to figure out where to go with a franchise once you've already done an ICEE-based love scene.
