Sorry if you were already in line, but never mind about that James Cameron-directed, Angelina Jolie-starring dramatization of the life of Cleopatra. Cameron's just going to make a couple Avatar sequels instead. In the push to get the director to make the studio a ton of money, Fox reportedly made a "huge" donation to the director's green fund, convincing Cameron to give in and turn his biggest movie ever into the biggest trilogy ever as a special "thanks" that will also make him a ton of money. Avatar 2 is scheduled for a December 2014 release, with its sequel likely arriving the following Christmas. And may I be the first to say the unreleased plot to Avatar 2 sounds exactly like Disney's straight-to-video Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, just in case that ends up being the case.
