Steve Carell Looking for Someone to Lay His Wife

Starring in this year's remake of Le dîner de cons, Dinner for Schmucks, went so adequately-enough for him, Steve Carell has decided to dive right back into the foreign remake pool with a US version of Argentina's Un novio para mi mujer. The 2008 film--which translates to A Boyfriend for My Wife--tells of a milquetoast husband who hopes to get out of his marriage by making his wife fall for another man, leading him to recruit "a legendary yet unlikely Lothario" to seduce her, which also sounds sort of like the plot of last year's Extract. I'm not entirely sure if Carell will play the meek husband or go into wacky mode as the Lothario, but Variety does make one item perfectly clear: Snow Dogs writers Mark Gibson and Phil Halprin are working on the script. Here's the trailer for that Cuba Gooding Jr. film, so you can know what level of screenwriting to expect. Just imagine how hard it must have been to type out every one of these dog facial expressions:
