Jul 29 2010'Yogi Bear' Teaser Is a Bizarre Episode of NBC's 'Ed'

If you were wondering how Hollywood planned to distort your fond memories of Yogi Bear, here's the answer: poorly-integrated CGI and celebrity voices doing digitally-aided impressions--just as you'd suspected. Tom Cavanagh and Anna Faris, playing Ranger Smith and Female, do their best to wince and grimace in time with the madcap sound effects, but I'm afraid there's no saving this one. Toss it on the pile of Chipmunks movies. But, hey, isn't that screen capture I took moderately amusing? It looks like an oral sex!

Who was foolish enough to bet Ed ten dollars to do this?

Great picture.

Wow, every time I think I've seen the worst trailer of all time I get proven wrong again.
Even the pixels look like they don't wanna be there...

Poor Tom Cavanagh, I think he deserves somewhat better than this.

Although, what can you do when your best two roles were Zach Braff's brother and bowling alley lawyer.

Justin Timberlake does a pretty good Boo Boo.

The voices sound like people trying to sound like Yogi and Bobo....sigh.
And somebody oughtta check the contrast on the CGI.

When did Tom Cavanagh get a blowjob from a bear on Ed?!

Does this mean that Harold Ramis has to sign up to voice a CGI talking animal now, too?

All those kids that watched Yogi bear 50 years ago are gonna love this.

Why does every CG character have to dance at some point?

Don't worry, it's going to be in 3-D. That should save it.

Oh Dan Akroyd. Why?! You had sex with a ghost and you still had more dignity than this!

Why does this have the same type of intro like 'Smurfd'. You know, having their big name stars (Ackeroid/NP Harris) introduce the damn trailer like as if they're at gunpoint...

you made my day too.

PS I STILL LOVE KIDS!!!

Thanks for the $10 bet reference!

Poor Tom Cavanagh though. Poor Poor Tom Cavanagh.

Ed was one of my favorite shows ever, and Cavanagh is such a nice guy (met him at a Blue Rodeo concert a while back). And now he has to do this crap because everygood show he is on gets canceled, but two and a half men is still on the air.

When TF is Ed going to comeout on DVD?

@3

I actually like Tom Cavanagh's work on Trust Me. Short lived though it was. He did, to an extent, recycle his acting from Scrubs for the role though.

The eyes...the eyes.....so dead.... the animation is so dull.. and forced to look funny.. :-(

Sad...

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AS BOO BOO?!?!??!!?!?? UUGGGGHHHH

This is despicable, I have a seething hatred for today's films. The acting is terrible the CG-i is lifeless and the last minute 3-D effects are just gonna make this film sink even lower than already possible. Twenty-six years ago, I distinctly remember two films that were brimming with special effects and slapstick humor that actually had a great following and outstanding replay value: These films were Ghostbusters 1 and 2. The humor was great, the characters were likable and the special effects were brilliant! Today, we have these dull, lifeless remakes and cheesy CG-i renderings of our beloved characters who have faded long years past.To bring them back as a 3-D sock puppet is not only an abomination, but a slap in the face as well. When will people appreciate film as an art form again? Not too soon apparently, as long as this schlock is produced why even bother? Ah well, at least we still have the classics to lean on... wait, what? they are making a remake of Re-Animator, Videodrome, Robocop, Ghostbusters, Evil Dead, and The Witches? GODDAMIT HOLLYWOOD! GODDAMN YOU!

Oww... I think I killed a lot of brain cells watching that. Thank god for trailers to warn you how bad a movie will be before you even consider wasting money on it.

Haha, this seems to be a funny movie! I love yogi bear, this was even my call nick name as I used CB radio in the 90s.

Think I'd rather go watch 90mins of Yo Yogi! with the 3D glasses that came in boxes of Rice Krispies than watch this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yo_Yogi!

(Yes, I still have a pair of those glasses)

Once again, Hollywood has raped my childhood. Why won't they stop? Failure after failure they keep going to the same well.

NO. No, no, no, no. How is it people in Hollywood are making millions off of the worst drivel that could possibly be produced? And how is it that millions of people are conned by bad CG and 3D into paying actual money to see this crap?

Well put. I just watched both Ghostbusters 1 and 2 last week, so good! I keep hearing rumors of a third... I hope to god they're just rumors.
