Michael Bay Producing Alien Film in Which Aliens Aren't Sometimes Cars

Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes, known primarily for taking popular old horror franchises and restarting them on the cheap and shitty (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, etc.), is broadening its legacy with a move into sci-fi. Heat Vision reports the company, with Paramount, have purchased an "Confidential Alien Project" from writer Bobby Glickert. Now what are the chances the alien is a gruesome killer stalking a group of attractive teens?
