Let's Remake 'Oh, God!' with Betty White

Combining Betty White's sudden popularity, Hollywood's inexplicable penchant for remakes, and Dishwalla's proposal that God is a female, Warner Bros. and producer Jerry Weintraub reportedly want to film a new version of Oh, God! with Betty White in the role of the Lord. The 1977 original starred George Burns in that part, with sunlit shoulder enthusiast John Denver playing a sort of modern-day Moses called upon by God. In this update, Paul Rudd has been pitched as the unsuspecting mortal--which, if they could get him, would virtually safeguard the project from criticism by casting Earth's most impossible-to-dislike people in the leads. Just need to get Amy Adams in the Teri Garr role and this thing is infallible by virtue of genuine human pleasantness.
