Here's Your Spider-Man

It's Andrew Garfield. The 26-year-old actor--who you probably don't know at all unless you saw the Red Riding trilogy, the recent trailer for Never Let Me Go, or can remember him in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus--beat out at least four other contenders who seemed even less like a high school Peter Parker than this British guy who will be like 30 by the time we get to work on the sequel.

What's the thoughts, guys? Heat Vision claims Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal and Columbia Pictures president Matt Tolmach said they were "floored" by Garfield's screen test, but I don't see why that would stop anyone from making a lot of harsh judgments they're unqualified to make.
