Jul 26 2010'Green Lantern' Character Posters: Distended Heads and Mustaches
I hope you like mustaches and a lot of forehead, because you're getting both with these new Green Lantern posters--featuring the Green Lantern oath and our first look at Mark Strong as Sinestro. I'm still not sure if I'm sold on this production, but I will give it that it has the villains that most make me want to call Special Victims Unit on them.

I've waited years for a Green Lantern movie and the villain I get is Jeffrey Jones from Howard the Duck.

Then again, he'd make a pretty good Dinosaur Neil.

dude, these posters have to be shown in perfect order to make sense. that's not likely to be possible everywhere.

I have yet to see something that makes me really want to go to this movie.

I think this site was pretty harsh on inception too when the first promo kit came out way back when. cynicism! yay!

@6: No, I'm pretty sure Inception and, to a lesser extent, Scott Pilgrim, and, to a lesser extent, Tron, have all been treated with some measure of optimism.

I think it's important that this movie is successful, because that would clear the way for more DC movies.
Firstly, we need a decent Superman flick. Enough with this menstrating Lois Lane bullshit. We need Superman being Superman. The special effects are there to really amp up the action, which this character demands.
Then we could have a Wonder Woman movie. They could do some interesting things with this character.
We had some luck with Batman recently, so that should be covered.
Of course, this would all lead up to JLA - which would demand total excellence. All they need to do is study the Cartoon Network stuff really closely, and see what made it work (JLA and JL Unlimited).

I agree ...jury's out on this one - she's too young and I hate the suit, but the villains look awesome.

Ryan Reynolds is going to be horrible. Can't decide if this is the worst casting ever, or if it's Chris Evans as Captain America.
