Jul 30 2010For Your Nerdy Dance Party: Daft Punk's 'Tron' Soundtrack Medley

daft-punk-tron.jpg

Until the Columbia Music Club you joined comes through with your Tron: Legacy soundtrack and 9 other CDs for a dollar, tide your ears over with this: a ten minute sampler of Daft Punk's music from the upcoming sci-fi sequel. But be forewarned, the clips contained within do not last long enough to fully get your rave on.

UPDATE: in the comments, someone named zombies--or possibly just a group of zombies--tells us these samples are fake, and the real ones are here. I have no reason to doubt this claim, so let's trust that for now. And if you're the person who put together this apparently fake soundtrack, know this: you're insane to do that.

Also first?

Before anyone yells at me for grammer I meant seeing.

@DPForever Can your intelligence deteriorate more? Don't correct your own "grammer" if you can't spell the word correctly.

You're a douche DPForever!

It could but then I'd be low enough to troll the internet looking for people grammar mistakes to call people out on. Douche.

@DPForever: You made ANOTHER grammar mistake. Effing illiterate douche.

@ILikeDP

I'm coming over to your cubicle to punch you.

These are believed to be fake because they don't really match with the movie, just with daft punk I guess.

the real music samples are here

Same shit every song with these guys.
I love it.

I wouldnt be surprised if these were fake....especially the "intro" track...yeah that was played at Comic-Con 2 years ago but it has also been remade by 100 different people since then. Biggest reason I think these are fake is cause they sound NOTHING like the 5 tracks that can be heard on the actually Disney/Tron Legacy website. They dont even sound CLOSE.

I could be completely wrong though but its just not even close to the same vibe.

These sounds better than the 'real' ones because they actually sound like Daft Punk.

I agree... very lackluster samples on the TRON website... not a dealbreaker since I'm not a Daft Punk fan anyway, but kind of disappointing that they bunted instead of swinging for the bleachers!!!

Listened to both this video and whats on the website. I wouldn't be quick to call these fake because there are only 3 songs on the Disney website and there are (from the info on the video) lots of scenes in this movie. Plus I have listened to lots of Daft Punk and this sound like something they would certainly drum up!

Oops! my bad! Didn't mean to post twice!

Me thinks that both selections of music are real. The tracks on that site feel like ambient movie music. They feel like they belong in a movie, which is expected. That is the music you don't really notice a whole lot.

The demos here are much more likened to the music in movies that grabs you. The music that paints the feel of the scene, which is needed usually to help introduce a setting or a character. Not to mention the stuff here sound much, much more like Daft Punk.

yea its a toss up. i have a feeling the stuff on the other site is the music during scenes of the movie and the daftpunk cuts will be the "soundtrack" to the film. you'll hear the orchestral stuff while all the action is happening but daftpunks music will be at the end during the credits and maybe a gratuitous cyberspace rave scene ala Matrix reloaded... and that my friends will be a sad day.
