Jul 26 2010'Drive Angry (Shot in 3-D)' Comic Con Teaser
Sorry, The Rock, you've got some competition on the driving-a-cool-old-car-and-shooting dudes movie front. Nicolas Cage seems to have his own one-note convict revenge film coming: Drive Angry (Shot in 3D). This teaser strongly suggests it will, if nothing else, live up to its title's sole promise of infuriated driving.
Or is it more likely this is a faux trailer for a film that exists only within an alternate universe, Nicolas Cage-starring version of Funny People? Tough call.

I like that they included an actual recording of the pitch meeting for this film:
"They killed my daughter and took her baby... I'm going to get her back."
You can just hear the enthusiasm with which Cage approached this project!

I feel sorry for Nicholas Cage, he's a terrific actor who is fascinating to watch in the right role, but he's also done a lot of crap. And now he's in more crap then ever, quite clearly doing it only for the money to pay off his debts. It's a real shame that his stock has plummeted so low.

@Plankoid - i completely agree. What's really a shame is to see how he's shuffling through this shite movie. These are the scenes that are **in the trailer**, even, and it looks like he rolled out of bed and barely had his first cup of coffee.

I don't know if the trailer's trying to say something about me (in which case they're wrong) or about Cage (in which case, I'm open to arguments) but as I was watching the trailer, and ad popped up for "Gay Therapy San Francisco."
