Australia Finally Made 'Red Dawn'

Stuart Beattie--writer of such films as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Collateral, and, yikes, G.I. Joe--makes his directorial debut with Tomorrow, When the War Began, an adaptation of Australian author John Marsden's young adult novel of the same name. The film tells the story of a group of teens who use their teen skills to lead a guerrilla rebellion against an enemy occupation in their hometown. The teens will save Australia! It's the least they could do after making it so intimidating to walk through them into the 7-11.
