
A senseless follow-up to MacGruber that gives us a straight-faced take on the MacGyver mythos isn't going to happen all by itself. Sadly, someone is going to have to literally spend days cooking up some things a character can do with a paper clip, and we now know who has been tasked with this hefty chore. Risky Business reports New Line has hired Jason Richman, writer of the Nicolas Cage film Bangkok Dangerous, to pen a first draft. I look forward to hearing how casting Taylor Lautner as the title character will make MacGuyver hip and relevant to a new, younger generation.
