David Wain Possibly Exploring Quitting Smoking, Hyponosis Time Travel

Good news for fans of Wet Hot American Summer and the notion of time-traveling back to high school to finally be slightly less of a loser. Pajiba has news former The State member and Wainy Days creator David Wain is considering directing an adaptation of Alex Robinson's graphic novel Too Cool To Be Forgotten. Here's what Robinson's site has to say about that title, saving you the time of having to read a full book just to know what the movie is about:

Andy Wicks is a forty-something father of two who's tried everything to quit smoking -- from going cold turkey, to the latest patches and nicotine chewing gums -- so he figures he'll give this hypnosis thing a try. What's the worst that could happen? Unfortunately, Andy gets dealt a fate worse than death -- high school! Transported back to 1985, Andy returns to his formative years as a gangly, awkward teenager. Is he doomed to relive the mistakes of his past, or has he been given a second chance to get things right? One thing's for sure … this time he's going to ask out that girl from math class...

I guess that could be OK if it's not too "adult in high school!" 1/2-a-father-son-body-switching-comedy-esque, but still, hypnosis time travel seems like a pretty high concept way to revisit and feel better about your high school career when Facebook does the same thing so easily.
