Remember this cro-mag? It's Channing Tatum. You've probably seen him at least once as a tank top-wearing dancer or military guy at some point in the last half-decade. Well, Deadline New York says he's the latest rumored to be up for the apparently impossible-to-cast part of Captain America. His weird name joins a list that includes Chris Evans, Mike Vogel, Garrett Hedlund, Wilson Bethel, and probably not John Krasinski but who knows anymore.
But that's not all in Captain America casting indecision news: Marvel is also reportedly looking at Keira Knightley, Alice Eve, or maybe Emily Blunt for the female lead, Peggy--though, again, no real decisions have been made.
So basically, from what I can figure out, what Marvel really needs is a 5th grade girl to make them a Captain America Cootie Catcher so they can finally make some decisions about this piece of shit.

Well I was looking forward to the movie, but if they are considering Channing Tatum, I guess it really will be garbage. The man is a shitty actor and will never be in a good movie.
Besides, he was already Duke. That's enough iconic super american action hero roles for him.

If Channing Tatum ends up Captain America, I will cry. Come ON, people. Cap is likable and badass (and blond, for those who care. Can't we get someone who fucking LOOKS the part and can act it?). Tatum is probably retarded and can't act. Being in movies where you have to move around a lot doesn't qualify you to be an actor.

So what's the current count on how many people have been rumored to be playing the part of Captain America? Did every actor in the US get a letter from Publisher's Clearinghouse saying "You may have already been selected to be the next Captain America" or something? It's a shame John Candy is dead, he could have done a good job. Actually, having a Canadian take the part would be pretty funny.
