In the thematically competitive tradition of Antz v. A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo v. Shark Tale, and Up v. What's Up Balloon to the Rescue, Universal's Despicable Me has a competitor for most hammy supervillain movie of 2010: Megamind.

Dreamworks is really stepping up their animation. I could almost see in his eyes how hard this character wanted me to laugh.

It's interesting that even though their movies are rip-offs, they still manage to get the biggest celebrities to voice them.

OK, to be fair, the fact that they pan over his head like it's a planet was pretty funny. But uh, yeah, this looks terrible.
