Mar 15 2010Ron Perman is Papa Conan

Never mind what I said about Mickey Rourke maybe playing Conan's dad Corin in the new Conan movie. Vulture says a different big, weird-looking old guy will take the part of a single dad raising a barbarian: Hellboy's Ron Perlman.

Remember the days when you'd expect news of Ron Perlman replacing Mickey Rourke in a film to be about something going straight to the Sci Fi Channel? How things have changed. Now they're big names in big franchise films, competing over roles, and Sci Fi is left wondering, "Now who's going to play the battle-hardened general in Zombie Starship if Eric Roberts doesn't pick up his phone?"

I'll answer Eric Robert's phone and take the call Sci-Fi Channel. I will.

also first.

I can play battle-hardened.

Looks like Tom Waits in a He-man costume...

yeh a modern classic

Oh no black jesus. I do remeber the atrocity that was Beauty and the Beast on tv. All the women that would flock to the tv at 7 o'clock to see that show...so stupid.

Jamie, this promo photo from Beauty and The Beast. A show in the late 80's he did with Linda Hamilton. This came waaaaaaaaaaay before Dark Angel.

Linda Hamilton? NOOOO WAAAAAY!! She's a beauty AND a beast.

@11
i never said anything about what came before what.
all i said is that picture reminded me of another character, and i was wondering if anyone else thought of that...
