Mar 8 2010New 'Iron Man 2' Trailer Offers New Suits, Religious-Aquatic Metaphors
Ready for a new trailer for The Iron Man, Part 2? Good, because here's one with new Iron Suits, new villains, and new metaphors about getting sharks to eat God:
This portable Iron Man suit technology would be good for winter coats, so you wouldn't have to hold on to them when you go to a concert in January.

Like anyone believes Rourke has enough brain power to play with legos, much less this bs.

Looks like the Iron Man franchise is still chasing pretty far behind the Batman : Dark Knight franchise; pulling out all the stops to still come up really short.
Actually, so is just about every other comic-to-movie concept for that matter.
Sorry Mickey Rourke.... You aint gonna out do Heath Ledger with that fake Russian bullshit and whips. Just not gonna happen.
Although they DO have Scarlet Johanson in there so that might help.

Not sure why but I'm having Matrix 2 flashbacks. More special effects, less story. Hope I'm wrong.

If you wanna rate superhero movies based on story, continuity, acting, fidelity, appropriate level of plausibility, and enjoyability, I feel like Iron Man's got a hand over Dark Knight.
17. buelebe - March 8, 2010 2:28 PM
Silver Centurion for the win

Always liked Iron Man over Batman, why? Well this billionaire used his money to make a suit that make him invulnerable, scratch that... LOTS OF SUITS AND A SIDE KICK THAT'S USEFUL.

@ 16 & 18
I guess it just goes back to the traditional rivalry of
Marvel VS DC
Good opinions either way. I just think the Batman reboot is undeniable. Go back and try to watch Tim Burton's old version and it is just comedic at best. Batman Begins was everything we ever wanted to see. I also believe that Christopher Nolan translated this Batman beyond anyone's expectations.

Sam Rockwell for the win.

Hey Meh-balls, dont forget that Stark used to carry the Iron Man suit in a case since back when you could remember. "Back when you were still crapping in your hands and rubbing it on your face."

I remember seeing the 1st Iron Man's trailer and thinking "this is going to suck." Then I saw the flick and it blew me away.
Like your mom.
Hopefully this will happen again. I'm not into Scarlett but at least she be fine.

Anyone getting comic-boners over Bale's idiotic raspy-voiced Batman or Ledger's ridiculous lip-smacking Joker srsly need to chill.
.
I was never a big fan of the Iron Man comics, but Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark is damn near as unbeatable as Christopher Reeve's Superman for casting - just perfect.
28. teeheehee - March 9, 2010 3:14 PM
Has no one noticed that iron man 1 and Batman begins have almost the same story line?
29. AnnaDraconida - March 9, 2010 6:57 PM
LOL @ Scarlett Johansson beating up grown men
30. nana - March 10, 2010 5:14 AM
I saw this trailer, no need to see the movie,
'cause I have a feeling I've seen it all right now.. -.-'
31. marvelous - March 10, 2010 3:02 PM
@27 good call. i found dark knight waaaay too over-acted. the joker was super weak. best part was eric roberts being thrown off a building.
IM2 looks ok, but its just a rinse and repeat of the first movie. "lets have him fight more iron men with another iron man!" war machine is a badass though.
cant wait until they actually start the integration of different Marvel universe characters. should have been that way to begin with.
32. Scentsy lady - March 10, 2010 5:53 PM
I am really worried this will be Transformers 2 all over again... the danger of liking a movie is that they'll make a second... PLEASE tell me it'll be as good of a sequel as Terminator 2!!!
33. dingo - March 10, 2010 10:09 PM
dude, stop comparing iron man with batman. both movies have different approach.

36. frank - March 11, 2010 9:27 AM
Wow. Glad that I know the entire plot progression, and how every scene and character ties into it now.
I'm beginning to realize that the problem with Iron Man is he can only fight other Iron Men. Some fucker with whips who's been reading The Man Who Would Be King? That's not intimidating. They're going to need to throw an actual super-power into this franchise at some point.
37. FDSY - March 11, 2010 1:18 PM
@32 Olivia Munn as Scarlet Witch in this (rumored)
@37 Being rich IS a superpower

My nipples could've cut diamond after seeing him put on the mobile suit. Movie looks amazing, and the haters go gtfo.
40. AppreciateDontHate - April 7, 2010 12:43 AM
Why does it have to be EITHER Batman OR Iron Man? I like both -- they are just very different.
