Mar 11 2010Movies You Can See This Weekend (If You're Willing To Risk Thermometer Stabbing)
As always, check your local listings. I mean, I haven't even listed any theaters or showtimes, so it would be crazy not to.
The Green Zone
Director: Paul Greengrass
Starring: Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan
Good if you want to see: The Bourne Iraq War
Remember Me
Director: Allen Coulter (not David Letterman's announcer)
Starring: Twilight, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper
Good if you want to see: Robert Pattinson as a too-cool rebellious human, rather than vampire; this ending
She's Out of My League
Director: Jim Field Smith
Starring: Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve
Good if you want to see: a "skinny nerd gets a hot girl" film from the '80s, time traveled to the present and trying to hide inconspicuously amongst modern films
Our Family Wedding
Director: Rick Famuyiwa
Starring: Ugly Betty, Mind of Mencia, Ghost Dog, whoever the guy is playing the black groom
Good if you want to see: an African-American dad and a Latino dad getting along?! Ut ohs!
Mother (limited)
Director: Bong Joon-ho
Starring: Hye-ja Kim, Bin Won
Good if you want to see: the director of The Host's latest, a murder mystery focusing on a mother investigating a killing her mentally disabled son has been charged with. (Best option)
