Looks like Happy Feet with less singing and without the funny little guys with the barrio accents to make the movie almost okay to watch.

What 5 said...this is a "kids" movie...do you guys get that? Aimed towards KIDS. Most of the people that post on this site are fuckin lamo's anyway so Im not gonna lose any sleep tonight if you dont like it. But you know what...I think it looked kinda cool. So eat a dick haters :)

Also...there is an interview with Snyder out and he purposely said he wanted to make a kids movie. He was, I think, 3 kids and basically said he wanted to make something that they could watch. More props to him!!

So I've never read the book or anything so maybe someone can educate me here. Are there only owls in this fantasy world? If so, what do they eat? Because as carnivores it could only be other owls.

In which case I'm definitely seeing this movie.

I usually have a problem with anthropomorphic movies so maybe that's why I think this looks really terrible. Or it could be the god-awful music in the background, or perhaps it's the humdrum CGI, or the really crappy looking story, or....
Yeah, this is an unmitigated disaster. Fuck, I want these two minutes of my life back.

I would agree with No5 as a kids film it will rock, for adults it looks rubbish, but its not made for adults.
The music in the trailer is awesome (Kings and Queens - 30 Seconds to Mars from the This Is War album) a great song.
I have never read the books, but i think I might watch it all the way through before making any solid judgment, unlike No1

Visually looks great, though it seems to have done away with the dark tones and violence that characterized the books. Seriously, those were kind of horific for childrens novels.

This is a movie based on an amazing book series named The Guardians of Ga'Hoole, I personally think this movie looks great, simply because everything in the movie looks just like the book decribes it and how you picture it while you are reading.

@27: You make a good point. Why don't they just make fucking Watership Down? You got your CGI animals with epic mythology, only written extremely well and intelligently, not like this shit.

Where does all that armor come from? Are there Owl blacksmiths, holding hammers in their little claws? Why does every scene in this movie take place at sunset? Aren't owls nocturnal?

Apparently a lot you need to be educated in how movies like these are made, it takes a lot of work. To the rest of you who can't seem to understand this is a CHILDREN'S movie, move on to a new hobby! What's the point of saying something is awful when you haven't even seen the movie. Don't get me wrong, sometimes trailers show more than they should, but wouldn't it be better to see the movie, and then give your commentary. Some of you I'm extremely ashamed of. That is extremely racist of you to hate a people just because of their accent (or whatever)! Also, if you haven't read the books with your children, maybe you should reconsider, they are pretty decent. I for one am extremely anxious to see it!
