Mar 15 2010'Green Lantern' Gets a Best Friend, Alien Mentor
Temuera Morrison is in for an upgrade in the Comic Con autograph booth area: the former Jango Fett, and Eagle vs. Shark director Taika Waititi, have been cast in Warner Bros. Green Lantern.
THR reports Waititi will play Green Lantern's best friend (forever???); Morrison, meanwhile, has been cast as Abin Sur, an alien member of the Green Lantern Corps who passes his magic jewelry on to Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) so that he may become Earth's guy with a green power ring and recharge lantern.
This will be the first time Taika and Temuera have shared the screen together since the 1990 finale of Sister, Sister.

Is Ryan Reynolds going to be making a Deadpool movie or not?
If so, won't the universe implode if an actor plays a DC character and a Marvel character?

Good casting for Taika Waititi. He's funny. His upcoming NZ movie 'Boy' looks hilarious.
