Yeah a little too long, and it says more about general Hollywood trailers than 'Oscar-winning' films.

It's not about attention span, it's about having discipline in presenting a bit. There's nothing wrong with keeping something tight. It's always better to end with people still laughing, than to stay with them to squeeze every last laugh out of them.
