Mar 17 2010Cowabunga! It's the 'Boardwalk Empire' Trailer!
In all my excitement over the Treme trailer yesterday, I totally forgot to post the trailer for the other series you should be putting in your eyeball queue: Boardwalk Empire. The involvement of HBO, Martin Scorsese, Sopranos writer Terence Winter, and a pretty impressive roster of actors heavily suggests this will be a good one. Plus, it holds a special spot in my brain's interest node because parts were shot around the corner from my apartment, meaning a bunch of trucks were parked here for a couple days. And you know what boys think of trucks. BOYS LOVE TRUCKS.
Is it just me, or does the 30-second mark suggest a new, prohibition-era origin of the Ninja Turtles?
I just noticed Omar's character is named Chalky White. Is this the Chris Ware/Atlantic City cross-over we've been dreaming of?

That's not Ooze draining - its "Dip." No Prohibition era anything, just takes place in the same universe of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT. That also explains the animated gangster Weasel in there... oh wait, it was Steve Buschemi.
