This Kid Is Young Conan (the Barbarian)
So we know this Stargate guy is going to be Conan in Conan, but who's going to be small Conan in the sequences where old Conan wistfully remembers his barbarian childhood? This kid! Latino Review has heard Leo Howard, who also played young Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe, will portray the young savage in early exposition that explains how Conan chose the barbarian class over mage, thief, or cleric.
Hopefully that means there will also be a closing sequence with an old Conan sitting in a rocking chair surrounded by children, closing the film with, "And that's how I stopped James Earl Jones when he turned into a snake." Any film is automatically improved by the addition of a Titanic/Edward Scissorhands-style "it turns out the movie was someone telling a story" ending.
