Feb 2 2010New 'Kick-Ass' Trailer Continues Trend of Looking Good
Furthering the agenda me and every other movie blog have agreed to--to build up Kick-Ass with so much overexposure, hype, and prolonged anticipation that it will inevitably fall short of everyone's expectations--here's yet another trailer for Kick-Ass. It's international! Real jet-setter of a trailer, this one:
Anyone else smell that narration? That smells like Goodfellas.

Video seems broken. Does anyone actually take those "age verification" things seriously? Just play the trailer!

Actually, you kind of do need a super power to toss two clips into the air and then catch them by slamming them into two pistols to reload while sprinting down a hallway and dodging gunfire.

I seriously got chills at 2:06. I'm such a fucking geek, it's beyond me how I've ever managed to get laid in the past. Pity me.

Things I do like: How blatantly they're referencing Batman; the line, "with no power comes no responsibility," the general storyline; and how much that girl sounds/acts like Nic Cage.
Things I don't like: How many times they say, "Who are you?" "I'm____," the clear breaches of physics that make the whole "no powers" thing kind of a moot point; and the yellowish, washed-out film stock. That shit is ugly.

Hey Frank, that ain't a Batman reference it's Spiderman. With great power comes great responsibility.

The thing is this is its self based off a comic book, the end of the first two issues I think he ends up in a hospital twice, amazing stuff and this film looks great if in a campy way. If you really hate it that much go take your middle finger and pleasure yourselves rather than spread hate, jerks.
