Die Hard Will Never Die: 'Die Hard 5'?

Ben Stiller's prescient vision of Die Hard 12 moves one step closer to reality.

In a recent interview with MTV, Bruce Willis claimed John McClane may stop even more terrorists, revealing, "I think we're going to do a 'Die Hard 5' next year." And that's not all! He has ideas!

"I would hire Len Wiseman right now," he said, referring to the director the well-received fourth chapter in the series, 2007 release "Live Free or Die Hard." He also has an idea of the scope of the next movie, a pretty obvious next step for a series which has gone from "trapped in a building" to "trapped in an airport" to "trapped in New York City" to, most recently, "trapped by the Internet." So what's next?

"Well it's got to go worldwide," Willis concluded. "That would be my contribution to [the next movie]."

OK, worldwide. So Die Hard 5 would basically be "trapped on Earth"? How existential, John McClane.

It seems Bruce Willis's talk of Die Hard 5 was more than the ramblings of a man insane with the knowledge Ashton Kutcher tucks his kids into bed each night before checking his Twitter statistics. Risky Business reports Fox is in talks with Skip Woods--writer of such gems as Swo... / Continue →
