Time To Find Out How These Damn Dirty Apes Got in Charge in the First Place

Time to get those Tim Burton Planet of the Apes costumes dry cleaned. Vulture is reporting another ape-ruled film is in the works--one that bares more similarity to Conquest of the Planet of the Apes--telling the story of Caesar, the original chimp Che who leads the successful revolt against humanity. The misanthropic script was thought to have been abandoned after Minority Report writer Scott Frank left the project, but "insiders" are claiming new writers are back on task creating more realistically simian dialogue, and that a director is expecting to be hired shortly.
If you ask me, there couldn't be a better time for a film with this subject matter. Some group is still being oppressed somewhere, right? Because this would be a great metaphor for them, whoever they may be.
