Dec 17 2009'The Runaways' Teaser: Girls Can Play the Rock Music???

runaways-teaser.jpg

They can! Here's the trailer for The Runaways, starring Twilight Girl as Joan Jett of the groundbreaking girl band. If you thought Tia Carrere in Wayne's World was the first hard rock lady, this film will prove you wrong. (She was the second.)

Not much content to judge here, really, so I guess my evaluation is... good job on the haircuts?

Jesus. Dakota Fanning? I'm gettin' older faster than I realized - I thought she was just outta diapers.

this actually looks pretty rad!

kirsten still in her lips biting ways .... i rather have her do that when iam fuckin her but come on .. what a emo bitch

I was working in a record store when the real Runaways first came out. They sucked musically, and their albums didn't sell for shit. They just got a lot of publicity because they were slutty-looking girls who posed for pictures wearing whorey clothes and pretended to be rock musicians by holding guitars and sneering a lot. But most of their appeal derived from the slutty-looking girls in whorey clothes thing. I guess we have these groundbreakers to thank for similarly talentless latter-day wannabes like the Spice Girls and April Lavigne.

oh dear god I was hoping she wouldn't bite her lip and then she went and bit her lip some more someone really needs to point that out to her.

Damn. People looked so weird in the seventies, it's hard to believe they had sex so much.

We need a Riotgrrrl/Bikini Kill movie STAT!!!!

@5 i know man ,..i rather have her do that when i am fuckin her or eating her out ha

This offends me. I really like The Runaways...

@Racer X: Maybe, but only if they don't cast Kristen Stewart and/or Dakota Fanning in it!
