Dec 9 2009'Sorcerer's Apprentice' Trailer: There's a Warlock Living in the Chrysler Building?
Wow, it's been over a week since we last saw Nicolas Cage overact in a ridiculous wig. Maybe the guy has finally decided to stop doing all these inane action films and get back to--never mind, here you go:
Most wizardry movies forget how sorcerers love driving really awesome cars. Not this one.

Why does Hollywood insist on taunting us? They keep making it sound like someday he's going to be good in something.

"Nick Cage is back and this time he's got a five o'clock shadow"

This doesn't look awful. Looks fairly entertaining.
I hope this launches Baruchel. Hollywood needs more skinny leading men.

Am I the only one who was reminded of: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/5/19/ ?
This seems like a direct adaptation!
Sick effects, to be sure, but man does it looks stupid. "You're my apprentice." "Your what?" DERRRRR WHAT DOES WORDS MEAN? Also, fuck Jon Turtletaub. Seriously, fuck that guy.

Was nobody else of Eragon? The dragon ring in the very first scene of this trailer is like a direct copycat of that one person in the dwarven city.

ok, so we've got "the vampire's apprentice" and we've got "sorcerer's apprentice"...what's next "pirate's apprentice"? no wait, they made a whole trilogy out of that premise. "werewolf's apprentice"?
