Nov 24 2009'The Road' Advances Poster Design to Just Looking Like a Rolling Stone Cover Meets a John Grisham Paperback Cover
"ROLLING STONE. Heard of it? Because I don't know if you noticed on our poster, but that established periodical just might have given our film a glowing review. No "might" about it, actually. Just look below the words "ROLLING STONE" and you'll see exactly what a certain popular magazine, ROLLING STONE, had to say about our little film called The Road. In short, they loved it. Called it a Triumph. "They" being ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE. Just sayin'. Rolling Stone."

It makes sense though, after all Rolling Stone magazine is to movies what Roger Ebert is to music. So why not put such high praise for an esteemed source front and center.

Way to create excitement for your film by associating it with the biggest hack reviewer of all time. This is the same guy who called I Love You, Man "howlingly funny". Ugh.

This is a Triumph. I'm making a note here: Huge Success!

Wow, one of the worst posters I've seen in a while. What are they thinking?

I like how they put fake film festival adornments around the book callout to trick idiots to think this movie is good.

The real question is - what does Mick Jagger and Keith Richards think? Bob Dylan?

I was all pumped to see this today, Thanksgiving, as is my annual tradition. I loved the book and I've been looking forward to this forever.
The closest place that it's playing is two states away. What the ever-living hell?
Thanksgiving: ruined. :(
