Nov 13 2009See: Wes Anderson Acting Out 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' Scenes

These clips actually make me sort of uncomfortable. Probably similar to how my dad must have felt when he caught me quietly re-enacting the "I'm Batman" Batman scene alone in the living room.

Am I alone in being really ticked off at this adaptation? The book is really simple and I get that since it only takes about an hour to read it out loud it would probably need some padding to flesh it out to feature lenght, but come on, all the previews I've seen have NOTHING to do with the book at all. Why is Mr. Fox bowling? Why is Mr. Fox getting all existential and questioning his place in the world? Why does any of the stuff that happens in the previews happen in the movie? It was bad enough when talentless people were ruining my child hood memories, but when talented directors manage to create a movie that so far looks like they took the title of the book, general concept and made an entirely different movie...well that just pisses me off!

FIRST HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

OWNED

GO AV'S

I almost would rather watch Wes Anderson instead of the animation...

...wait, no I wouldn't.

goblyn ----- settle down. Film is an entirely different medium.

I want to see this movieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

goblyn see this? http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2009/09/fantastic_mr_fox_featurette_po.php

Its a different story recreated from the world of the book. Posthumously approved (by tears).

I guess I'm a little pissed at how they're playing this off as some revolutionary filmmaking endeavor. Chicken Run looked better than this 10 years ago, not to mention King Kong in the 1930s. Still seems fun though.

Interesting~ still won't watch that.
