Nov 11 2009Karl Pilkington Gets His Round Head and Hangdog Face Animated

You should really be listening to the Ricky Gervais podcasts. If you are already, good job. If you're not... well, fine, but not listening because you "hate things made of sound" because they make you use your "brain eyes" is no longer a valid excuse (usually that would be a valid excuse). Soon, the audio series will be coming to HBO in the form of animation! No more using your brain eyes! You'll be able to use your eye eyes!

Here are a couple previews:

To be honest, I kind of think the visuals take something away from the raw audio experience. But if this will spread the stupidity of Karl Pilkington to a few more people still unexposed to Auntie Nora and Monkey News, then it is truly for the greater good.

"It isn't cryptic."

karl pilkington's got a head like a fuckin' orange.

Visuals are awful. Ricky's laugh is somehow made completely uninfectious with that stupid cartoon rendering. And the podcasts are my favorite things ever.

The best Karl Pilkington clips can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yC4YJcgfRq0 they are so blood funny

Hopefully the actual program doesn't have the laugh track I can hear on the second video, it ruined Little Britain USA for me. I guess HBO doesn't have enough faith that the Americans will know when to flap there fat jowls when something funny is said so they have to add a canned laugh track. Sad that this is how many people will first experience the already perfect podcast.

i'm pretty sure these were taken from the last time ricky was on the david letterman show. the laughter you hear is probably the actual live audience laughing and not a laugh track.

believe it or not there are a few successful american comedies that don't use laugh tracks.

i am a pretty big fan of british comedies (office, extras, spaced, the IT crowd, etc.) but i couldn't stand little britain.

I'm with you rick. Those shows are brilliant, little britain is unwatchable.
