Nov 17 2009Another 'Alice in Wonderland' Poster: Does Caterpillar Have a '60 Minutes' Segment?
Because I'm pretty sure that's Andy Rooney's blue head on a caterpillar body. Let's investigate...
RULING: Most likely not Andy Rooney's blue head on a caterpillar's body. But it's almost that.

is the mad hatter the new protagonist in wonderland? I always thought Alice was that. Just like I though charlie was the main character in charlie and the chocolate factory. silly me...

I SO agree with you @1. Just because its Jonnhy Depp it doesn't mean he has to be the lead. C'MON TIM BURTON! I LOVE YOUR MOVIES! DON'T MESS IT UP

Actually, it is Mickey Rooney's blue head pasted on the body of a caterpillar. http://andrewstevenharris.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/mickeyrooney.jpg

Hmm, seeing as Burton ruined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by making it a movie about Willy Wonka/Johnny Depp doing a Michael Jackson impersonation, it seems fitting that he may ruin Alice in Wonderland by making it a movie about The Mad Hatter/Johnny Depp doing a ____________ impersonation.
Well, I'll always have my Pee Wee's Big Adventure DVD to fall back on just in case.

Is the effort to make Johnny Depp, the hottest man in America (according to People, that ironclad opinion-poller), look eerily like Elijah Wood, the pale Hobbit who hasn't had a hit since, some kind of weird marketing ploy? Like, we all squint at the poster in confusion and go "OH! Depp! Well then in that case I WILL see this movie!"

I just can't help picturing the Mad Hatter having the voice of Salad Fingers and spending the entire movie molesting kids. He's that creepy. This looks more like a remake of IT than of Alice in Wonderland.
Also, that Andy Rooney query is the funnies thing I've seen all day.
