Oct 9 2009Kids Screaming for the 'Where the Wild Things Are' Soundtrack

where-wild-things-music.jpg

At last, child screaming is being used for something better than alerting nearby authorities. Spike Jonze and Karen O harnessed untrained kid vocals for the Where the Wild Things Are Soundtrack (remember listening to that?), and now there's this featurette where you can see how they did it, why they did it, if Jonze cried the first time he saw picture & music matched up, etc.

Enjoy--or decry as over-hyped hipster bullshit, if you want to pee on my party:

Haha, I like how a significant portion of that is dedicated to how this one woman was doing something that Spike Jonze didn't want.

Did someone write on Spike's face when he passed out first? What was that all about?

I stopped watching cause my girlfriend came over.

@J

Haha yeah actually what the hell was up with that?

Children's screaming is the latest, haven't you heard?

See: Ryan Gosling's Dead Man's Bones

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

hipsters are so much cooler than this bullshit fo meaningful film.

PS
looks like Spike Jonez forgot his tripod at home while he was filming it.

Every time I see a trailer or a video for this movie, I want to see it less and less. Now I'm screwed because my girlfriend was a fan of this book and wants to see this. This movie is to "hipster" for my blood. Hippies are going to be the downfall of society I swear...

@dragon

Every time I hear the phrase "looks like they forgot their tripod" it reminds me that there are still idiots out there who don't understand the notion of different approaches to cinematography. Handheld is amazing.

i have watched where the wild things are trailer and the soundtracks. those are marvelous. great work
