Three-Dimensional Musketeers

Tossing some more dirt on the grave of Chris O'Donnell's career, Paul W.S. Anderson, writer/director of Resident Evil and Death Race, has written a Three Musketeers script and has plans to produce the film in 3-D. Heat Vision Blog adds:

“We are definitely modernizing ‘The Three Musketeers’ without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece,” said Anderson, who hopes to shoot in France and Germany. “But in our film, corsets and feathered hats don’t take center stage. Our version is rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure.”

Hopefully "modernizing" means "bringing it to the year 1993, when the Bryan Adams/Rod Stewart/Sting hit All for Love topped the charts." I'm not sure I can get fully invested in any Three Musketeers adaptations that don't include an aging musical trio's sappy, melodramatic twist on the Musketeer motto.
