Sep 24 2009New 'The Fly' Iteration Coming From Experienced Fly Hands

Welp, someone is remaking David Cronenberg's The Fly, which was itself a remake of a 1958 sci-fi film. Curious who would be so daring as to remake David Cronenberg's 1986 classic? David Cronenberg is remaking David Cronenberg's 1986 classic, The Fly:

The auteur is in talks to develop a reboot of the 1986 classic with Fox, the studio that released that film, writing and potentially directing the new pic.

The move marks an about-face for the Canadian director, who in the past has said he did not want to be involved on a remake of the film. Cronenberg did work on an opera version of "The Fly" that was staged first in Paris and then in Los Angeles.

I suppose this will do until I figure out how to get the remake I really want: The Metamorphosis, re-written by a reanimated Franz Kafka (updated with advanced modern punctuation). That would just be tops.

It's DAVID Cronenberg, not Richard !!!

Who the fuck is Richard Cronenberg?

David Cronenberg is his name. I think Richard is his evil twin.

richard.. hahahahaha. way to go, stupid.

If you're going to get a name wrong, get it wrong four times. Just commit dammit.

I was really trying to make that work in my head "Wait...Dick is short for Richard...could David be short for Richard too? It that his born name and he changed it? Maybe he's going by Richard now as a more formal way of being addressed?"

I watch stuff is the the worst of the the three blogs. Ditch this clown.

Hey, it's me. I don't know why I wrote Richard Cronenberg. I'm aware his name is David Cronenberg. I think I copied and pasted it after the first time, so that might explain why I wrote it several times. These things just happen sometimes. I'm sorry.

Hey! Maybe we can get George Lucas to remake Star Wars and then issue yet another DVD set!

stop making the remake lol

the first remake was great, why make another? unless they are adding more to it I say this is a terrible idea.

As long as Goldblum's back I have no complaints. The prosthetics were a bit shoddy in the last iteration, there's room for improvement in that regard.

I dont like the remakes, as it contains many things
which we already know. I like to see new fresh
story movies. But movies like spider man are
a great success ad i like those.

Just terrible,I don't like such films...
