Sep 11 2009New 'Surrogates' Trailer: Putting All Those Obnoxious Android Model Bus/Subway Ads in Context
Haven't you always wanted to live the life of a Powerade commercial? Everyone has! That's why, in the future, we'll probably live through surrogate, robot bodies that can mountain climb, skydive, and have Craig Kilborn's hair better than any human (besides Craig Kilborn). But what if someone figures out how to MURDER the real humans behind the surrogates??? That's a Bruce Willis movie is what:
It makes no sense Heidi Klum isn't in this. She should be playing all the women.

I have a boner for Bruce Willis and faux-topian futures (yes, I just made that up), so this is fine with me.

FUTURE ???!!!!??? WTF ? do they expect us to believe this is future, when they drive todays cars, fly todays helicopters, use todays weapons ? from what i see in the trailer they haven't made a slightest attempt to develop the world of future, even in a semi-crapy way it was done in iRobot !!! somehow absolutely amazing technology and absloutely humanlike androids were developed without everything else in the world changing and becomeing more futuristic !
hollywood has no respect for us.. they don't even try to sell us a complete product.. take modern new york, throw cgi bruce willis in it, and the rest is fine.. well, at least the price of gas is still just under 3 bucks 100 years from now, right ?

Never read the graphic novel, but the film looks decent.
@3 I'm not no concerned about the fact that NYC doesn't look "futuristic." Creating a future version of a city is always walking a fine line — if it's not done well, it looks just as bad as if it wasn't done at all.

@3 You realize that the cars we drive look much like the one's we drove 30 years ago, and that the Army has been using pretty much the same helicopters, guns, vehicles since Vietnam, right?
Anyway, this looks stupid. Why would we create full-size robotic replicas of ourselves to walk around in the real-world, when we could (and have) created electronic avatars that roam around virtual worlds? Bruce Willis should be making better movies than this.

Looks freaking awesome. I'll be seeing it on opening day.
To be fair, though, I am an extreme Bruce Willis fan.

@ 5 - A simulated reality like "The Matrix" seems more efficient and sensible than silly looking mannequins walking around in public.
Maybe it makes a fun movie though (probably not). Kind of like Terminator robots haplessly bumbling around after people instead of a nanofog taking care of it in a couple of days as in "Day The Earth Stood Still".
Shoe salesman appear to LOVE the Anticlown Media family of sites.

Just like Will Shit, Bruce "watcha talkin' about" Willis should retire from ever making movies again. I rather watch Uwe Boll running naked with scissors.
