Sep 23 2009More People I Don't Know in 'Thor'
I've got some great news if you're fans/parents of Jaimie Alexander or Colm Feore: the actors from Kyle XY and The Listener (neither of which I know of as shows on television, but I'm told are/were), respectively, have joined the cast of Kenneth Branagh's Thor.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Alexander will be play Sif, a powerful resident of Asgard and sexual conquest of Thor, while Colm Feore's character is known only to be a villain of some nature.
You know who's probably going to be upset by this news? Colm Meaney, Star Trek's Chief O'Brien. If Feore's career takes off after this, it endangers all the years of hard work Meaney has put into becoming Hollywood's Biggest Colm.

I'm not Canadian and easily knew who they were. I knew Jaimie from Kyle XY and Colm was the major villain in Chronicles of Riddick.

Colm Feore is someone you haven't heard of? And you call yourself a movie journalist?
He's been in more than a hundred movies and television shows, including some fantastic ones, such as Bon Cop Bad Cop, Trudeau, Titus, 24, Slings and Arrows, Battlestar Gallactica, and many, many more. Not to mention his illustrious stage career, which this year alone included MacBeth and Cyrano de Bergerac.
Though I will agree with you, I have no idea who this Jaimie Alexander person is.

Yeah, Colm rocks. You might know him as Dick Scruggs from Michael Mann's The Insider. "This is Richard Scruggs..." Terrific actor.

I never watched Kyle XY, but it played in America, on ABC Family. And The Listener was on NBC, recently. I know Kyle XY is over, but I hope The Listener returns. I really enjoyed it. It's pretty much what Heroes should be.

I got to work in a scene with Colm Feore for the Trudeau mini series. He is a great actor and very much a gentleman.

Colm Feore is fantastic when he's not being awesome. Plus his last name means "flower" in Italian if you spell it "fiore," so he's got that going for him.

Seriously though, why isn't Alexander Skarsgard Thor? Coz he looks like actual Thor (who I've met on numerous occasions?)
