Sep 9 2009'Green Hornet' Loses Its Cage
The Green Hornet now has a Nicolas Cage Score of -1! Or maybe just an NCS of 0, depending on how you want to look at it. According to Heat Vision Blog, negotiations for Nicolas Cage to play the villain in Michel Gondry and Seth Rogen's adaptation have fallen apart, and Columbia is looking for a new actor to fill the role.
Can I suggest Timothy Dalton for the part? I swear, it feels like forever since I've hated a dignified gentleman-villain with a pencil mustache.

Just watch Hot Fuzz for some Timothy Dalton gentleman-villain action. Plus, you get to see a miniature church steeple impale his face. Now THAT'S how you make a film.

The positive quality of a movie can be correlated with the negative Nicholas Cage point value. So this is good.

Cage gone is like a little curse lifted. They should cast Peter Greene for the part -assuming he's not in jail or dead.

That can only be good news! I will consider seeing it now! Mr. "Everyone knows I'm a Coppala but I'll change my name so it looks like I don't use that to get work and maybe they wont notice that I can't actually act" is enough for me to avoid a film like it was Andy Dick looking for a place to crash! That was cruel. Sorry Andy!

This, like everything, would be better with Christopher Walken or Samuel L. Jackson.
...Then again, statistically speaking, Samuel L. Jackson is probably already in the movie.

Well they did get Eddie Olmos which is awesooome. Anything with more Admiral is good for me. + Olmos, - Cage is a win.

I don't find Nicholas Cage to be a believable action star. And frankly, I think his terrible hair is distracting from ANY movie plotline. I'm glad he's been dropped.

Fuck and yes! Greatest news ever. If he stays out of all future movies that I want to see, I will be a happy girl.
