Sep 2 2009'Fantastic Mr. Fox' Behind-the-Scenes: Stop-Motion Animation Appears Labor Intensive
Here's a Fantastic Mr. Fox featurette, hosted by Jason Schwartzman. If you want to see how laborious it is creating feature-length stop-motion of some well-dressed wildlife, this is just the thing for you. And if you want to see George Clooney roll around on the ground whistling, strangely this is also just the thing for you:

Still wanna whine about how shitty it looks?

Hopefully when they add some background soundtrack, the dialogue can sit in better because right now it's still Mr. Fox talking with George Clooney's voice.

There's something about stop motion animals that gives me the heebie jeebies.

That whistle click thing is getting really annoying. I admire the craftsmanship that went into making this, but it looks like a fox chewed it up and spat it out. However, I'm sure it will appeal to a certain audience. One I'm not in.

The animation quality certainly isn't polished but I think it doesn't need to be for this to be a good movie. Wes Anderson always seems to put out a good product, mostly because there is a good story behind it, not because of special effects. Can't wait to see this!
@5 I really wish I thought up "Beastman AIDS"
