Michael Cera begs you to accept him as a teenager just one more time before calling Beverly Hills 90210 shenanigans on him. In Youth in Revolt, the perpetual teen play Nick Twisp, a 14-year-old so desperate to win the affections of the girl of his dreams that he creates a bad-ass French alter ego. It's basically a Steve Urkel/Stefan Urquelle situation, except genuinely funnier, and Twisp asks for cheese far less consistently than Urkel:

Love Michael Cera! Can't wait for this one... just hope he breaks out of that same character he always seems to play!

should be fun

Hahah Faking your own death... YOUR DOING IT WRONG!

he just needed to drop the line when he wrecked the car, "Did I do thaaaaat!?"

Does anyone know if he gets a fully nude scene in this film, like if they show his ass?

I would LOVE to see his ass!

I wonder - oh, I should say POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD - if they're going to have Cera dress in drag as the "Carlotta" character from the book? There's no mention of this in the trailer, which means either they thought it was too ridiculous to have in the movie at all, or that they're saving the surprise for later. "Carlotta" is a big part of the book - silly as it is, this cross-dressing subplot has its roots in Shakespeare - so it would kind of suck if it wasn't in the movie.

I wonder if Cera was capable of growing that mustache himself or if it's a special effect.

Seriously, this guy needs to stop with these roles. He's already fuct though. Talk about being type-casted, holy shit.

LOL, Michael Cera is awesome. Who cares that he always plays the awkward teenager role? He’s great at it, and anybody that’s ever been there knows he pulls it off perfectly. This looks like a great role for him, plus it will save me the hassle of reading the book, which has been on my list of things to do for quite some time.

Also love the fact that they finished the trailer with the song “Timebomb” by Old 97’s – great tune, hope to see it used more in the actual movie itself. FYI the trailer for YIH can be found at :

This dude is a perfect example to aspiring actors that anyone and I mean anyone can become a movie star. Not only that but you will be able to do hot starlets in these movies even though you look like you got hit in the face with a bag of nickels.

When is this guy going to overdose?

Hey, if you ever saw Michael Cera in Arrested Development, you wouldn't be saying that. The kid was under the wing of David Cross, and the whole Arrested Development crew. He learned from the best and was already awesome with comedic timing at 13 or 14....

I saw this movie for a free preview in NYC and it was actually really funny! I normally don't like Cera but he was good in the role. I give him credit for that, even though I think the material was good to begin with.

looks like a Fight Club for the teenageer!
sweet!

Sweet, Michael Cera plays another awkward teenager whose name happens to be Nick and is called Nickie. Sounds...familiar.

Jajaja looks great... It's like FIGHT CLUB + SUPERBAD! xD
