Aug 20 2009'Wolfman' Trailer: See What Happens When a Man Sometimes Turns Into a Partial Wolf!
The trailer for Joe Johnson's The Wolfman has been released, and I'm pleased to say that, as hoped, the film looks dark, often ominous, and full of grade A special effects and actors. But I can't help but think that maybe the preview could have shown a little bit more of Wolfman's relationship with his high school girlfriend, and how he has to protect her from all the nomadic rival werewolves that want to kill her. What do you think?
When is someone going to get around to making a horror-drama about our most underused horror icon: the skeleton?

Looks interesting, but one can only hope we can someday get a movie in which the werewolf looks like this: http://heroclix-game.com/heroclix-blog/downloads/Wallpapers/Horrorclix_Wallpapers/Horrorclix_Werewolf.jpg
As opposed to what this is looking like: http://www.buycostumes.com/Werewolf-Fangs-In-Coffin-Deluxe/3054/ProductDetail.aspx

Exactly..maybe they ran out of money and like just threw it in there hoping the LOTR fanboys will watch it.

Been waiting & looks very cool.
You think Universal will get Del Toro, Oldman, and Deniro to play their versions of the Wolfman, Dracula, and the Frankenstein Monster for an "Abbot & Costello meet Frankenstein" remake? Considering the staggering lack of originality by major studios, I wouldn't put it past 'em.

You mean Army of Darkness?

Including skeletons, however numerous, is not the same as being ABOUT skeletons.

I always thought the werewolves in Underworld were pretty well done..... (forget the rest of the film....)

Werewolf movie from Is this a remake of that really old 'Wolf Man' movie? FFFFF...
Dammit, I'm torn over watching it with Weaving being in it and not because of the shitty werewolf...

I love werewolves to death, but oh my God, they probably just raped this story. Just looking at this shitty trailer makes ME want to turn into a werewolf and kill people.
And honestly, why do nearly all werewolf transformations make peoples' eyes pop out and fingers twist in retard ways and shit like that? Why don't they just transform instead of popping all out of their own skin? God, it's so fucking retarded!
18. Frybread Jack - August 21, 2009 1:28 AM
hollywood hasn't done a decent werewolf film since the 80's. even now the werewolf transformations stink - its all CGI (cartoon generated imagery).
19. Thrasher - August 21, 2009 2:48 PM
@14: Well skeletons don't have hearts or any chemicals in their brains to produce emotions and you can't have drama without emotions.
Then again Nightmare Before Christmas is entirely focused on Jack Skellington and he appeared to display emotions. *shrug*
20. Thrasher - August 21, 2009 2:57 PM
Oh and I wasn't using Nightmare Before Christmas as an example of being about skeletons because it's about Halloween taking over Christmas and stuff.

A skeleton movie would be a great romantic comedy, it practically writes itself. Jennifer Aniston as the scatterbrained but goodhearted dental hygienist, Jack Black as the voice of Simon Skellington, an extreme sports competetitor specializing in stunt skiing who is transformed into a walking, "living" skeleton. Toss in a Will Arnett cameo and you have box office GOLD. (Which commercials tell me is worth investing in.)

the New Moon reference did not go unnoticed. Needs more vampires

The Howling had the best werewolves I've ever seen in a movie...or anywhere else for that matter! Ha ha ha!
