Aug 31 2009Rambo's Gonna Kill Some More Dudes
The simplified "Rambo" title of the fourth Rambo film made it seem so final, didn't it? We should have known it wouldn't be over until one was titled "Last Blood"--here comes a fifth Rambo movie:
Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise's fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008's "Rambo."The upcoming project's storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.
Oh, Sly, why must you be the sitcom dad who has to keep doing athletic activities to prove he's not old until he comically throws his back out?

I know it's probably not the reaction they where going for, but I uncontrollably switched back and forth between jaw-agape shock and fits and laughter during the last battle of Rambo.
They're not a thinking man's movie, nor is Stallone what he used to be, but either way, I found Rambo very entertaining in a "sit back and watch the mayhem" sort of way.
Sign me up for RAMBO II.

What!? He's not killing Asians? Well, now that I think about it, he already wiped out half as Asia, so he must be getting bored with fighting them. Though, I do wish the series ended; should have at the very end of the last Rambo.

We could do without senior citizens kicking ass. There's a time to retire for everyone, Sly.

I thought the recent one was called 'John Rambo'...
Why did I think that?

I am really looking forward to Sly's new films. Of course he is not 30 years old anymore but he is still a great guy on the screen. That's my opinion.
@MacMaster: Noone is forced to watch those movies, just to inform you...
You have the right to not go to the cinema....^^
I really do not understand all this whining about people doing their job and feeling good with it. Maybe you all should start building up your own life instead of complaining about people who have done so.

Sure, I could go for another Rambo movie.
I don't think he's too old at all. And personally, I feel that there are way too many touchy feely movies out there now.
There are times when you can take a democratic approach to the evils in this world. But other times...oh...other times, you just need to jump on a jeep mounted machine gun and cut some bitches in half.
There's justice and then there's John Rambo justice. And John Rambo justice never gets old!

I found the last Rambo movie surprisingly entertaining. I'd definately be keen on another. A few of the boys, a few beers and a rambo movie. Pretty much best night ever right there.
