Aug 6 2009'Ong Bak 2' Trailer: Ong Bak vs. a Crocodile

ong-bak-2-trailer-english.jpg

I've featured a couple other Ong Bak 2 previews here before, but I'm pretty sure this is the first one in English, and, more importantly, the first where you see that star/director Tony Jaa fights a crocodile. Call me a man of simple tastes, but any man who fights either crocodile or alligator on-screen has earned not only my ticket money but my undying devotion. At least until around 2012, when man/crocodile fights will become standard reality show entertainment.

Enjoy watching Tony Jaa kill some dudes/animals:

This movie was terrible compared to the first movie. The fight scenes are pretty sweet, but the movie drags on and is really boring. wouldn't waste your time.

Yo anon shut the fuck up, the first one of these was so awesome, and this one looks like its gonna be good. You don't go see a Tony Jaa movie for the plot lines, you go and see it for the fight scenes, just like you go and see a Jet Li movie for the fight scenes you dumb shit. If the fight scenes are good, this movie has succeeded, and you are a fucking douche who knows nothing about movies.

Never mind the movie. I just want to watch him do that running flip off the elephant's head over and over and over. Has someone invented flash-player wallpaper yet?

saw the movie, it was great the movie plot was kind of off but the action scene was sick, you will love it. Hope Hollywood choose him for a good movie maybe Ninja Gaiden

As long as you don't waste your time on the plot, the crazy shit is awesome.

Usually in a martial arts film the plot is just there to get to the fight scenes (kind of like porno plot to get to the sex), and the fight scenes were great... but that was a pizza man knocking on the door plot.

Actually, tony jaa doesn't fight the crocodile, the kid who plays jaa's character at a younger age does. Still, one of the better scenes in the flick

As this was filmed in Thailand, where human life is cheaper than a can of Pepsi, I imagine that the kid fighting the croc is actually the luckiest of several kids hired to play Jaa as a youngster. The other children were naturally eaten by the croc earlier that same day.

@livingjetlag: All you have to do is make a GIF of it and set that is your desktop.

So Tony Jaa finally came out of his self-imposed forest exile to finish this film?

Ok this movie is the dopest martial arts movie in years. The plot is just a bunch of nonsense that amounts to tony jaa learning like 10 different styles and using them in successive fight scenes he allegedly choreographed himself..

you know how you watch the first ten minutes of crouching tiger and realize youre no longer angry that you paid 12 bucks for the movie ticket and another 12 for popcorn and a soda.

I would have paid 50 bucks just to watch the drunken boxing scene in theaters.

I know he's supposed to be this whiny princess of a cast member. After watching this, I really dont give a damn. Dudes one OD away from legend status.

@2. I totally fucking agree!

Forget Ong Bak 2, this should be called Jungle Book 2.

@ Kurt
Jungle Book 2 FTW!

Ong bak 2: Return of the same slow motion scene shown from 50 different angles!!!!

@11 - okay, I'm going to admit, I used to teach tien shan pai kung fu and during one of the scenes I wondered to myself "Why is Tony Jaa using a northern animal style of kung fu in one of his movies? That's so unrealistic!"

Then I realized the source of my indignation - that Tony Jaa using kung fu to fight a dude in this movie is unrealistic - and realized I haven't been laid since May and need to get out more.

sorry guys but this movie is really bad... i LOVE kung fu/martial arts movies but this sequel makes the first one look like an oscar winner... the fight scenes aren't as good because he's not as familiar with the styles as he is with thai kickboxing... there's also less mindblowing stunts in this one than there was in the first one... i hope someone writes a good movie for him eventually because his talent is off the charts

This is going to be SWEET!!

Hope Hollywood choose him for a good movie maybe Ninja Gaiden
