Aug 31 2009Nicolas Cage Starring in New, Ridiculous-as-Expected Film

Still maintaining he has the look and hair of an action star, Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in Drive Angry, a 3-D action film where he'll play a guy trying to fucking kill some dudes who kidnapped his infant granddaughter:

[T]he story centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

So it's just Nicolas Cage driving along the open highway murdering some assholes? This is either going to be one of Cage's most ridiculous movies yet or a shockingly accurate adaptation of Road Rash.

IN 3-DEEEEEEEEE!!!

this sounds like a re-make of a 70's or early 80's movie with pretty much the exact same plot. i can't remember the damn name of it. but the car being chased with the kid inside does totally kill a bus full of kids.

ok if done right i feel like this could be totally amazing. however, we all felt the same way about snakes on a plane and look how that turned out.

Might be good. Cage's characters like to follow clues a lot... wonder if he will in this one...

I think Nicky is just fucking with us at this point.

fuck yeah road rash, best killing-people-with-a-crowbar-while-driving-a-motorcycle game the genesis had to offer.

road rash 3D sucked though. i assume if hollywood made a plotless movie based on that series (which is there s.o.p. right now, right?), that would be the one they base it on.

Road Rash is a good reference, Carmegeddon is a better one.

That's a great mustache he's got.

Must See!!!
