Here's a film with an equal chance of being really good and really obtuse (probably both): My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done. The film is directed by Werner Herzog, executive produced by David Lynch, and stars Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe, Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon, Academy Award nominee Chloe Sevigny, Academy Award nominee some flamingos, Academy Award nominee a pack of ostriches, and a classically Lynchian arbitrary little person.

Shotgun Stories an amazing Micheal Shannon film. He was also AMAZING in Bug(although the movie was terrible). His monologue at the end is what first made me a fan.

This movie looks like it might be really good but that name. Jesus, it is terrible. The "YE" ???? I would be embarrassed to tell anyone the name of the movie I was going to see because it sounds like the beginning of a mother goose rhyme.

What a bad trailer.
The movie itself still looks promising though. Which is a high compliment considering a good trailer is supposed to make a movie look good. This looks good despite the shit trailer. Well done.

It's almost hard to believe how Lynchian and Herzogian this looks. It's got a disheveled dude with delusions of Godliness who when to south America and travelled along a river, it's got the slowly strummed guitar chords from every Lynch soundtrack ever. It's got a weird German dude interacting strangely with African animals. And the little person really counts for both of them.
Looks pretty damn good.
