That director of Titanic, whoever that may be, has released another character poster for Avatar, this one featuring the CGI-ified face of Zoe Saldana. It's only half-a-face, but at least this look at the Na'vi species is female, so I can start deciding if I'd sleep with a cat-eyed blue-face, because I know that will eventually come up in conversation. I'm leaning towards "probably, after a couple space drinks."

I'm pretty sure what ever source material this is based on was around before the Last Air Bender. Also, Cameron is directing this while M. Night Shamwow is doing air bender, so you just sit there and cry...
Also, Mystique needs to get that acne looked at.

I'm with catch 22 fuck this AVATAR movie everyone is going to think is the movie based on the carton. Stupid title choice. I'm not watching this unless people tell me its the next best thing since Boxed juice, blow up dolls, or the cell phone.

Sidgrey....are you stupid in the head? Cameron is EVERYTHING people make him out to be. Abyss was great! Story was good, acting was great and the special effects pushed the limits for its time. Terminator was way head of its time (again with a great story and great acting and great effects), Terminator 2 was and still is one of the best action movies of all time. Again...good story, good acting and special effects that were WAY before their time. And then there is Titanic...maybe you dont like it cause it was a lovey dovey film but you know what? Its the high-grossing movie of all time and NOTHING will beat it anytime soon.
So yes...he's a great writer (since he writes all his films) he's a great director and an amazing technician. All in all...he's everything people make him out to be. So pull that dick out of your ass and I will see you in line when this movie comes out :)

Oh...and have you even ever watched The Abyss? If you have you would know that the aliens never actually wanted to kill humans dip shit...they were friendly the WHOLE TIME. The humans (at least the Navy Seals) thought the aliens were bad and tried to kill them...other than that the aliens never once tried to kill the humans...so I would suggest renting it and watching all the way through this time poindexter.
Its also funny how thats the only film you mention of his when he's done about 4 others that have ALL been major major successes.
So yeah...you're a dumb ass.

@1 The term "avatar" dates back farther than your silly cartoon. The term dates back to the mid-80s and then was popularized by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson. Before that it was a term in Hindu mythology. You might as well have said that Cameron took the term from the god Shiva.

@16: Im sure it was probably Fox's idea about putting the "Titanic" line on there but it makes perfect sense...that was he LAST film...more people are gonna remember that than the older ones such as T2, Abyss, Aliens, etc. Its called "MARKETING"...get off the internets and go to college son.

#17, his movies do have great acting. Acting isn't just about gaining 50lbs to portray some severe biographical person or a retard while winking to the academy.
Linda Hamilton was fanastic in T2 (which she owed a lot to great characterization), Sigourney rocked in Aliens, everyone was great in The Abyss but especially Ed Harris who gave a very emotionally transparent performance, and Bill Paxton steals every scene he's in in cameron's movies.

its not that the term came first, its that he knew there was a movie with what would be a similar title being made and he wanted to simply be a douchebag about it
same thing happened when "fear" and "primal fear" came out in the theaters at the same time
he is just hoping to cash in on some confused parents looking to see what all the avatar hubub is about
he coulda called it "endoscrepant" or anything and itd be just as popular/terrible, good/bad or otherwise uwatchable...

I was really hoping Cameron would be bold enough to ditch the usual almost-human alien look for something more believable. These character designs look very unoriginal, and originality was what the movie was selling us all along. Pity.

Actually, depends which version of the movie you watch. In the extended edition, the aliens (or whatever) ARE planning on destroying humanity. Thankfully, they got rid of that in the theatrical cut, and produced the fine film we know and love.
This alien looks like a caricature of Angelina Jolie.

It was an out standing movie experience for all the movie fans this movie was quite impressed with its story of Pandora and that’s why I have look for this movie trailer how ever this movie was directed by the James Cameron and I have no worries of thinking that it would not be or not much entertainment it was a fine trailer released of this movie and see it below where I have seen

When promoting a movie like this, why do the publicists (,or who ever decides), have to demean a director by "name dropping" his/hers latest ,biggest or greatest previous works. Something prior should not be made so prominent in the posters so as to predict or influence our thoughts about this new feature.
They should class it up and drop this kind of obvious behavior.
