Jul 8 2009New 'District 9' Trailer: This Time There Are Mechs
In this latest trailer for the sci-fi apartheid film District 9, the uneasy truce between man and giant bug comes to an end when human officials discover one of the aliens has an alien meth lab and some alien pepper spray, and then shit goes down. And by shit, I mean awesome mech suits:
I didn't know aliens spoke in old MacOS typeface.

The mechsuits were in Alive in Johannesburg as well. I was waiting for confirmation they'd be in D-9 :3

The MechSuits definitely upgraded since Alive in Joburg. They don't look like someone in a cardboard box.

Love the part where that soldier fires a rocket and the mech just goes "FUCK NO!" and grabs it out of the air.

Why won't we let them leave? Because we want their Mech-suits, that's why!
Man, if I was a kid, that's what I'd ask Santa for!

The trailer hurt my eyes. Too much fade in/fade out. But yeah the movie looks interesting.

Fuck HALO!! Seriously!! That game is the biggest overrated piece of shit ever!! Its the console first person shooter for people who dont know any better. Like people who still use AOL. The reason the plug was pulled on the movie is cause the Halo machine died down 10 fold after the shitty, overrated third game came out. No one cares about Halo anymore....its not 2005 anymore.

That trailer sucked. I want to see the movie, but the trailer could have been half the length if the black parts were taken out. I hate when they do that crap.

No kidding, Guyda! That trailer was seizuriffic!

This is the first movie i've been really excited about in a long time. I just gobble up the news about it. I hope I don't find out it'll get limited release.

LOOKS VERY PROMISING. Hopefully better than ROTF and TS I'm trying to stay away from anymore trailers after that. Want my mindset to be open when I watch this.

This was quite a boon for the dude who made a amateur video of this story back in the '03s.
Unfortunately for him (or her), Apartheid is old ass news form the early '90s.

this is why aliens shouldn't land in south africa; they wont blend in... they only need to watch a little tv to find that if their ship lands in california where we treat (illegal) aliens like citizens, they'd be set. although if they land in vegas or hollywood, we'd never even know.
